Hey there!

I'm Natalia- the owner, stationery designer, and letterpress printer behind Naebr Design. I’m also the product photographer, website designer, receptionist, and barista. You get it, it’s just me running the show. I live in Minden, Ontario with my husband Brad (who also runs his own creative business) and my cat, Mancy. She is named after a very obscure reference from a cartoon- bonus points if you know it! I love poutine, any shade of teal, a good legging + tank top combo, and analogue writing tools- mainly typewriters and fountain pens.

Creating my own wedding invitations was the spark that led to turning my passion for design and paper into a business. It is also the industry that led me to discover the existence of letterpress printing and acquiring my own printing press, lovingly named Chuck. If you are interested in that whole story, it can be found here.

I believe that stationery should be a fun way to reach out to the people who matter most to you in life, and that it shouldn’t be too stuffy, corny, or some other adjective to describe that feeling you get when looking for cards and you think ‘this is something I would never say to this person but it’s the best choice I have right now’. That’s not how it should be. I aim to create what I know, and what I actually give to the people I love. A lot of my designs come from creating a card for one particular person, and they end up becoming customer favourites because they are relatable and don’t hold back!

This photo doesn’t exist in many places, but a home here seems appropriate to show you where it all started. Before moving into creating retail stationery products I only provided wedding invitations. This is my own wedding stationery that I designed in 2017. It is an eclectic mix of digital florals (made piece by piece!), geometric frames, and some flashy hand-lettering.

There’s a lot of things I would do differently now, but I was so proud of these. My first custom suite, my first attempt at flat lay photography, and not pictured is my guest addressing done in calligraphy. *I am not a calligrapher.
